I love my juicer. Last summer I honestly used it every other day. The combinations of flavors you can make seem endless and it is easy to clean which is very important to me. Fresh juice is so much better than processed juice in both taste and nutrition. Now I probably shouldn’t mention the health benefits of fresh juice when I am about to segway into adding alcohol to it… but what can you do? Every now and then you need a celebratory beverage and this is by far better for you than any pre-made mix full of syrups and sugar and that is why I came up with the fresh juice Margarita!
If you have a juicer, here is how to make my Fresh Citrus Margarita:
Juice together one each of the following:
1 Lemon
1 Lime
1 Orange
1 Grapefruit
1/4 inch piece of Fresh Ginger
1 Lemon
1 Lime
1 Orange
1 Grapefruit
1/4 inch piece of Fresh Ginger
Mix 3 ounces of Tequila with the juice and serve over ice.
Juicing isn’t an exact measurement as the amount of juice you get out of a fruit is always different. When I did this I got just enough for two servings. If this recipe is too tart for you, try swapping out a second orange in place of the grapefruit.
Have you made any cocktails with your juicer before? I’d love to hear your favorites!
