Today’s post is the fourth and final beverage in my fall cocktail series each featuring my favorite ingredient, fresh fall apple cider. If you missed the first three installments you can read them here: 1| Apple Cider Mimosas 2| Cider Geniever 3| Spiked Hot Apple Cider 4| Cider Sangria (today’s post)
Okay, sangria is technically not a cocktail, but it is delicious so let’s agree to overlook technicalities, shall we? This is a colorful, festive beverage perfect for starting out any gathering (that’s right Thanksgiving, I am looking at you!) and it only takes about 5-10 min to prepare.
Ingredients:
1 bottle of white wine ( I used Pino Grigio)
1 Large Red Apple – chopped into small pieces
1 Orange – cut into small sections
1/2 C. Whole Fresh Cranberries
2 C. Apple Cider

Combine all your ingredients in a large pitcher and let it sit. I usually make mine first thing in the morning to really allow all the fruit to soak in the cider and wine. The longer you let Sangria sit the more the flavors will combine so it pays to fix it and forget about it then just bring it our when dinner is ready or as a pre-dinner drink.
To serve, spoon or pour a few pieces of fruit into each glass then top off with the wine/cider. Cheers!
