A little about me… I love bright colors and things that make reality seem more whimsical than it is & I love to create. I get very excited about holidays, holiday decor, theme parties, and decorating in general. I believe that every once in a while you need to relax with a cat on your lap, while you watch your favorite movie (let’s be honest, who only has one!?) with a plate of warm cookies fresh from the oven.
Every year, for as far back as I can remember, I have handmade a new ornament to give to each of my family members at Christmas. 2012 was the year of the Bullet Shell Santa which was such a big hit that it inspired me to bring my ornaments to Etsy. My Esty shop (sjwonderlandz.etsy.com) provides me with a wonderful outlet for sharing my crafts, but now I am ready for the next creative outlet to get back to basics & make things hands on!
In 2013, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that I had been suffering with for years. In 2015, I made a goal for myself (it happened to be New Year’s, though I wouldn’t call this a resolution but rather a promise) to reverse my symptoms though diet and lifestyle changes. I started by going gluten and dairy free then began the Autoimmune Protocol and am now have progressed (healed) to be somewhere near to Paleo based diet.
I am using this blog as my new creative outlet to de-stress, organize, create, and share what I find with you along the way. After all – Creating is My Happy Place.
